1st Meeting

· Theme: Cooperative Scientific Study of East Asian Biosphere Reserves

The inaugural and technical sessions of the meeting and preparatory discussions for the field review of Wolong Biosphere Reserve were held in Beijing, during 14-16 March 1994. The field review of Wolong Biosphere Review was conducted during 17-22 March 1994

· Organizers: Chinese National Committee for MAB. The co- operative scientific study has been made possible by a grant from the Republic of Korea, and other financial and technical support from the participating countries and UNESCO.

· Time: 24-28 August 1997

· Venue: Ulaanbaatar and Bogd Khan Biosphere Reserve, Mongolia

· Organizers: Organized by Mongolia MAB National Committee and Man and the Biosphere Programme UNESCO through its offices in Jakarta, Beijing and the Headquarters at Paris.
